FAQs
Why does Gardensmith only take on one job at a time?
This enables us to focus fully on your job, and your job alone, from beginning to completion.
What kind of landscaping services do you offer?
We pride ourselves on offering quality hard landscaping which includes anything that helps you to shape and define the layout of your outdoor space. This includes plant beds, boarders, storage, fences, pergolas, patios and more. As RHS trained gardeners, we also love to put plants in the ground. You can find a full list of our services as well as a gallery of our work here.
How does the consultation process work?
This is the first step of working with us. After contacting us, we’ll take the time to discuss your ideas and designs before arranging a site visit. Once on site, we’ll survey your garden so we can measure up and advise on the next steps. There’s no fee for the consultation Find out more about how we work or have a look at our references.
How do you determine project costs?
Everything is quoted up front and there are no hidden fees for our services. The payment schedule will be discussed with you at the time of order, the basis of which will be determined by the projected length of the works. See our full Terms and Conditions.
What is the communication process like throughout the project?
We will maintain communication throughout the project, from start to finish.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance services?
Once complete, we can provide the details or recommendations for garden maintenance or put you in touch with one of our trusted gardeners.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we carry full public liability insurance and are licensed waste carriers.
How do you handle waste and recycling during projects?
Waste is handled either using a skip on site (we use Reston Waste, who recycle as much waste as possible) or, if there is not too much waste, we remove it from site and dispose of it via a commercial waste and recycling centre.
*How long does it typically take to start a landscaping project once confirmed?
After our consultation, we aim to give you a full timeline of the project. We will then book a start date as soon as possible. It is recommended to contact us at least 2 weeks in advance to schedule your project. Get in touch to book a consultation.
